Bicycles Pedal Across Canada

Toronto bubblegum pop quartet The Bicycles will head out on a Canadian tour this fall in support of their sophomore album, Oh No, It's Love, which will be released on Nov. 4 via Fuzzy Logic Recordings.

The follow-up to 2006's The Good The Bad And The Cuddly is The Bicycles' first without bassist Randy Lee, who left the band to play violin for The Hylozoists. To fill the gap, the band have enlisted a slew of guest musicians, including Caribou's Andy Lloyd on bass, Laura Barrett on kalimba, Blue Rodeo's Bob Egan on pedal steel, Woodhands' Dan Werb on synths, and Basia Bulat sings on "Green Light."

Oh No, It's Love was produced by By Divine Right's Jose Contreras (who also worked on the band's debut), and as its title suggests, it focuses on the theme of love and its ups and downs. Vocalists/guitarists Matt Beckett and Drew Smith, vocalist/drummer Dana Snell and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Scott all took turns with the songwriting.

The Bicycles released The Good The Bad And The Cuddly: The Interactive DVD Board Game last year.
