Eminem revealed that his new album will be titled Relapse and could be released before the end of the year.
The man born Marshall Mathers hasn't released a new album since 2004's Encore. But on Thursday, Eminem held an on-air launch party for his upcoming book The Way I Am on his Sirius Satellite Radio station, Shade 45. During the party, he announced the disc's title and then played a track from it called "I Need A Relapse."
According to Eminem, Dr. Dre produced the majority of the record, which doesn't yet have a release date. But according to Rollingstone.com, Eminem's label, Interscope Records, is planning to release 50 Cent's fourth album, Before I Self Destruct, on Dec. 9, followed by Relapse before the end of the year and then Dr. Dre's "final" album, Detox, which the magazine reported was finished as of this June.
As for Eminem's book, The Way I Am will be released to book stores on Oct. 21 via Orion Books. The autobiography focuses on Eminem's rise to fame, his reflections on his own hits, unpublished lyric sheets and unreleased photographs of the rapper's home.
