Avril And Deryck On The Rocks?

Although Avril Lavigne said she always knew she would marry Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, to whom she's been married since 2006, rumours have emerged that the couple may be headed for divorce.
According to the U.K.'s The Sun tabloid, Lavigne's world tour earlier this year put pressure on the couple's marriage — and not just because of the distance. The Sun reports that while Lavigne's career has taken off, as those of us who still have boxes of our November 2004 issue with the Sums on the cover sitting in the basement know, Whibley's has dropped off.
"They have been growing apart for months," a source told The Sun. "Deryck isn't motivated in his own career, so he's been drinking and partying."
Other rumours emerged this week when a source allegedly saw Whibley "huddled at a private table" with another woman. The two were apparently holding hands.
Lavigne and Whibley were married in a private ceremony in July 2006 in Montecito, Calif. If the couple do indeed divorce, we're curious about whether it'll be Whibley who'll file first, or if Lavigne will say "see ya later, boy" by serving him with papers.
