Animal Collective updated their website with a cryptic, difficult-to-understand message on Oct. 4. Four days later, they made things a bit clearer. The announcement was about an album called Merriweather Post Pavilion that will be released sometime in January by Domino Records.
The group's eighth studio album will feature 11 tracks and is titled after a Baltimore venue of the same name.
Animal Collective began recording Merriweather Post Pavilion this summer. They've been playing some of its tracks live recently, and also shot a La Blogotheque Take Away Show video for "Taste," which you can see below:
"In The Flowers"
"My Girls"
"Also Frightened"
"Summertime Clothes"
"Daily Routine"
"Bluish"
"Guys Eyes"
"Taste"
"Lion In A Coma"
"No More Runnin'"
"Brother Sport"
