Coldplay obviously like
Jay-Z more than Oasis do, as a new version of "Lost" featuring the hip-hop star will be part of their
Prospekt's March EP that will be released in November.
Prospekt's March features five songs that weren't finished in time for the release of Coldplay's
Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends earlier this year, the Jay-Z collaboration and two other tracks. A clip of the band playing one of the new songs, "Glass Of Water," live for the first time ever can be found on their
website.
Elsewhere on the
site, group leader Chris Martin wrote about the five new songs on the EP:
"We are very proud of these and are pretty excited to release them. They have been the subject of many discussions and arguments; some might be considered too catchy or too heavy for Coldplay songs but in our minds they complete the VIVA LA VIDA picture."
He says that fans will be able to download the EP, order it from the internet or get it in a special version of the album called
Viva La Vida: Prospekt's March Edition.
Coldplay will launch their next North American tour at Ottawa's Scotiabank Place on Oct. 20.
