Times New Viking Stay Awake

The shrill, amped-up, tape hiss-filled sound of Times New Viking's music is unlikely to put you to sleep, so that might be why the Ohio trio have titled their new EP Stay Awake.

The five-track seven-inch and a downloadable version of Stay Awake will be released on Oct. 21 by Matador Records. The artwork was created by vocalist/keyboardist Beth Murphy.

Times New Viking formed in 2005. Murphy, vocalist/guitarist Jared Phillips and drummer Adam Elliott released their third full-length, Rip It Off, in January.
