Oh No Forest Fires' Geometry War

Oh No Forest Fires will officially release their The War On Geometry full-length debut on Nov. 11, which should be easy to remember. If that's too far ahead to think about, singer/bassist Matt Del Buono, guitarist/singer Rajiv Thavanathan, guitarist Brock Swanek and drummer Adam Nimmo will hold a CD release party at Toronto's Supermarket on Oct. 10.
The War On Geometry was recorded at Last Ounce Media Productions and Moneen frontman Kenny Bridges' basement. It features guest appearances from a member of Jenn Grant's band, The Night Painters, and a member of The Ghost Is Dancing, whose Lesley Davies is a frequent contributor to the band's performances. The album artwork was done by Brandyn Aikins.
"Recording in Kenny's basement brought this record to life for us," says Thavanathan. "We had already brought all this excitement and energy to the tracks, and then he took it over the top by injecting a sense of melody and structure into them. He's a truly gifted producer that made us fall in love with these songs all over again."
You can see a video interview that ChartAttack's Aaron Brophy did with Oh No Forest Fires during Canadian Music Week here.
Oh No Forest Fires originally began as a basement project between Thavanathan and former Most Serene Republic drummer Adam Nimmo. The two sent out some demos to their friends, and expanded with the addition of Del Buono and ex-Fox Jaws member Swanek.
Only you can prevent Oh No Forest Fires from performing here:
