Robbie Williams Summons Aliens?

Robbie Williams' alien obsession has taken a bit of an interesting turn. He may be writing an album which he hopes will summon visitors to Earth.
According to extraterrestrial "expert" Michael Luckman — the director of the New York Centre For Extraterrestrial Research, who two weeks ago called Williams a "point man for contact with extraterrestrials" — the singer is working on an album that's inspired by little green men, which should hopefully act as a homing beacon to bring them to Earth.
Luckman says Williams recently took a bunch of video equipment to Trout Lake, Wash., which is reportedly a "hot spot" for UFO-spotters. He apparently penned some songs there for and about aliens and, according to Luckman, may be writing "an alien album."
"What better person to roll out the welcome mat than Robbie Williams, one of the most recognisable and beloved performers on the planet?" Luckman told the U.K.'s The Sun tabloid, adding that Williams would return to Trout Lake "very soon."
Williams' girlfriend, Ayda Field, recently dumped him since he apparently preferred to read about androids on the internet than spend time with her. Williams also claims to have seen a UFO flying over a Californian hotel where he was staying and says he was contacted by aliens at his Los Angeles recording studio.
Luckman, who previously said Williams should prepare himself for contact with extraterrestrials, now says he wants to hook Williams up to a special machine that will effectively make him into a Deanna Troi (the officer on television's Star Trek: The Next Generation who could communicate using her mind) of sorts.
"Robbie needs to be trained for contact with highly-advanced aliens," Luckman told The Sun.
"The brainwave machine I recommend is like the biofeedback machines Nasa use with their astronauts. But this one is specially designed to boost psychic powers for telepathic communication between humans and aliens."
This sounds like something out of Bruce Coville's children's novel, My Teacher Fried My Brains. But in that case, the alien was the one with the brain machine.
Williams' eighth studio album — alien-inspired or not — is due out sometime next year.
