Bonnie 'Prince' Billy Goes To Sea

Bonnie 'Prince' Billy
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy's new live album, Is It The Sea?, will be released in North America as an import on Oct. 20 through Domino Records.

Louisville, Ky.-based Will Oldham was joined by Harem Scarem and Alex Neilson during his 2006 tour of Scotland, Ireland and England. Harem Scarem (the Edinburgh folk group, not the Canadian hair band) helped Oldham out with backing harmonies, fiddle, flute, banjo and accordion, while Glasgow's Neilson contributed drums and percussion to the performances that make up the record. It will be available as a CD, download and on double vinyl.

Oldham has released seven albums as Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and three collaborative albums with other artists under that name. He previously released music under the Palace Brothers and Palace Music monikers, and has also put out one album under his own name.
