Massachusetts metalcore band Unearth will stride back into record stores on Oct. 14 with their new Metal Blade album, The March.
Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz (As I Lay Dying, Shadows Fall), who previously helmed 2004's The Oncoming Storm, produced the album at System Recording Studios and Zing Recording Studios in Massachusetts. You can hear "My Will Be Done" on the band's MySpace page.
"The March symbolizes both the evil and hopeful sides of humanity," says vocalist Trevor Phipps.
He elaborates that "the evil" side of the disc represents power-hungry people in government, religion and financial institutions, while "the hopeful" side of the album "represents faith in mainkind."
"If we come together and do not fight over religion, class and borders, then we hold the key to a peaceful world. There are two possible futures in store; either a March of power and greed or a March of a unified human race."
Unearth formed in 1998 and have released four studio albums. A live DVD called Alive From The Apocalypse was released in March. Their lineup includes Phipps, guitarists Buz McGrath and Ken Susi, bassist/pianist John "Slo" Maggard and drummer Derek Kerswill.
Here's what's on The March:
"My Will Be Done"
"Hail The Shrine"
"Crow Killer"
"Grave Of Opportunity"
"We Are Not Anonymous"
"The March"
"Cutman"
"The Chosen"
"Letting Go"
"Truth Or Consequence"
