A.C. Newman Gets Guilty

New Pornographers frontman Carl Newman will return as A.C. Newman on Jan. 20 when he'll release his second solo album, Get Guilty.
The Matador release was recorded at the Seaside Lounge in Newman's adopted hometown of Brooklyn, N.Y. with Phil Palazzo. There aren't many details available yet, but Get Guilty features contributions from Superchunk's Jon Wurster, Nicole Atkins, Mates Of State and about a dozen other people. The album will be available on CD, vinyl and as a download.
Newman will debut material from the record at a Nov. 15 appearance at Brooklyn's The Bell House.
Newman's solo debut, The Slow Wonder, came out in 2004. He's released four albums with The New Pornographers and was previously a member of indie rock bands Superconductor and Zumpano.
