Get Untapped On Big Rock Compilation

Most of us here at ChartAttack are all for supporting small beer-crafters and tapping into kegs, so perhaps this mention of Big Rock Brewery's Untapped Vol. 2 compilation might persuade the good folks over there to send some suds our way.
The brewery is asking Canadian independent artists to register here by Sept. 30 to submit a song for consideration for its second annual compilation.
Those chosen will appear on the album and receive marketing and media support over the coming year from Calgary-based Big Rock. More than 30,000 CDs will be inserted in specially marked cases of Big Rock in February, while another 20,000 or so will be distributed freely at music venues across Canada.
"Our goal is to support unknown rising stars of Canadian music and enable them to take advantage of the extra promotion and play that Untapped offers," says Big Rock marketing VP Jim Button. "As a smaller company dealing with competitive giants, we understand emerging talent and what it takes to get your voice heard. That's why we're putting the Big Rock brand solidly behind Untapped."
A short list of finalists will be chosen by the week of Oct. 6 and up to 15 artists will be selected and notified of their inclusion during the week of Oct. 27. The winners will be chosen by a panel of eight "musical experts."
Last year's inaugural Untapped CD featured songs from the likes of Suzie McNeil, Zoe Bentley, X-Quisite and Steve Pineo.
