Rush fans are pretty hardcore, so they're bound to find a place on their shelves for the three-disc Snakes & Arrows Live that will arrive in stores on Nov. 25 via Zoe Vision and Anthem Entertainment.
The set will be available on DVD and Blu-ray. It was filmed with 21 high-definition cameras in wide-screen format over two nights last October at the Netherlands' Ahoy Rotterdam arena during the five-month world tour in support of Rush's 2007 album, Snakes & Arrows. Additional footage was shot in Atlanta in July.
The total running time of the material is 221 minutes. The "What's That Smell" skit and outtakes, tour outtakes and authorized bootleg recordings are included along with the concert footage. The DVD was mixed by frequent collaborator Richard Chycki (Aeromsith, Mick Jagger).
Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart have sold more than 35 million albums since releasing their self-titled debut in 1974. The Rush In Rio DVD came out in 2003 and Rush-R30 followed two years later. Rush continue to be one of the world's most popular touring bands.
