Feist, Nickelback Get WCMA International Honours

Since Nickelback, Feist and K.D. Lang have helped keep Canadian music on the international radar over the last few years, they'll be honoured for their achievements next month.
All three will receive international achievement awards at the Western Canadian Music Awards at Edmonton's Meyer Horowitz Theatre on Oct. 19.
Feist was born in Amherst, N.S., but grew up in Calgary. She's sold more than a million copies worldwide of her third album, The Reminder, over the last year.
Nickelback are from Hanna, Alta. They've sold more than 26 million albums worldwide and are arguably the world's most popular rock band.
Lang was born in Edmonton and grew up in Consort, Alta. She has won eight Juno Awards, four Grammy Awards, received numerous honours and sold millions of records since releasing A Truly Western Experience in 1984.
