Jack White's Coke Ad Confusion

You might have seen the Coke Zero commercial featuring Jack White's theme for the new James Bond movie, Quantum Of Solace, that showed up on the internet on Friday. It features a clip of the song, which he sings with Alicia Keys for the film, though there's no vocals in the ad.
According to U.K. newspaper The Guardian, "the ad is part of an integrated campaign that includes the rebranding of Coke Zero as Zero Zero 7 to reflect Bond's 007 code name." The newspaper states the commercial was made in red and white to reflect the theme of The White Stripes' video for "Seven Nation Army."
This prompted a bunch of news sites to report that White had written the song specifically for the Coke Zero ad, which isn't the case. Although White wrote a track for a Coke campaign two years ago, his management team issued a statement on Friday in which they seemed less than thrilled that Coke Zero is using the Quantum Of Solace theme song in its ads.
"Jack White was commissioned by Sony Pictures to write a theme song for the James Bond film Quantum Of Solace, not for Coca Cola," says the statement. "Any other use of the song is based on decisions made by others, not by Jack White. We are disappointed that you first heard the song in a co-promotion for Coke Zero, rather than in its entirety."
The Coca-Cola Company then issued this statement in response:
"The Coca-Cola Company wishes to clarify and correct recent media reports relating to its upcoming promotional partnership with Sony Pictures and the new James Bond movie 'Quantum of Solace.' Despite some reports to the contrary, Jack White did not write a song for 'Coca-Cola Zero.' Rather, Mr. White was commissioned to write the new Bond theme song for the movie to be performed by Jack White and Alicia Keys. The Coca-Cola Company has been granted the use of an instrumental version of the song for use in its advertising of the partnership between 'Coca-Cola Zero' and 'Quantum Of Solace,' The Coca-Cola Company regrets any confusion regarding the 'Quantum Of Solace'/'Coca-Cola Zero' promotion."
