Let's say you want to listen to The Smiths, but can't decide which album to pop in the CD player, and you don't just want a greatest hits compilation or their singles collection because you also enjoy the band's B-sides. There's a new anthology coming out which might solve your problem.
Two versions of Hang The DJ: The Very Best Of The Smiths will be out Oct. 7 through Rhino Records. The single disc version will feature the same track list as the first disc of the two-CD version. The first disc features nearly all of the band's singles, while the second features fan favourites, B-sides and live tracks.
As for former Smiths frontman Morrissey, he's completed his ninth solo album, Years Of Refusal, which will tentatively be released on Feb. 2. It was the last album produced by Jerry Finn (Blink-182, Sum 41) before he recently passed away. Though a track list for Years Of Refusal has yet to be announced, "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris," "One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell" and "Black Cloud" will be included.
