Kanye Arrested For Vandalism Updated!

UPDATE #2: According to the Los Angeles County Sherrif's Department's website, West has been charged with felony vandalism. He was released on $20,000 bail today. A court date has been set for Oct. 2.

Kanye West was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday morning on suspicion of vandalism after an alleged scuffle with photographers. Don Crawley, West's road manager and bodyguard, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and battery.

According to TMZ.com — who had a photographer on site who videotaped the event (which can be viewed below) — West and the photographers scuffled in the American Airlines terminal of LAX. West allegedly confronted one man taking his photo and TMZ.com says West took the camera "and threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces." LAX spokesperson Marshall Lowe says the camera was valued at more than $10,000.

The TMZ photographer says he then began videotaping the alleged incident and was confronted by West's bodyguard. After he said he had a press pass and the right to shoot, the bodyguard smashed the camera on the ground. The photographer says West then tried to board a plane before being detained by police. The TMZ photographer alleges that, when he was being questioned by police, West allegedly lunged toward him and said, "Give me the fucking videotape." He claims West had to be restrained by police.

West and the bodyguard were taken into custody and his representatives haven't yet commented on the charges or the incident.

TMZ reports both West and Crawley are being held on $20,000 bail.

West said he had no need for anger-management classes earlier this year.
