White Zombie Go Box Set

Do you want to listen to every track White Zombie ever recorded? Well, you'll soon be able to when the band release White Zombie: The Box Set Career.

Former frontman Rob Zombie, who won't be part of the upcoming White Zombie reunion, compiled the long-awaited five-disc set, which features every White Zombie song in near chronological order. All the tracks from their four studio albums are included, along with those from the four EPs they released in the '80s. You'll also get songs they recorded for several soundtracks, a tune that appeared on The Beavis And Butt-Head Experience compilation and their cover of Black Sabbath's "Children Of The Grave" from the Nativity In Black tribute album. There's more than four-and-a-half hours of music in total. A fifth disc will include "never before seen videos," according to Zombie.

"I am now holding the finished newly master WZ box set in my hands," Zombie wrote in a MySpace blog entry on Tuesday. "All I can say is boy the early shit is wacked. I haven't heard some of these songs in over twenty years. I don't know what the hell we were thinking."

White Zombie formed in 1985 and were named after the 1932 Bela Lugosi film of the same name. Their early material was more noise-rock, but they later changed to a heavy metal sound. After the band broke up in 1998, Rob Zombie went on to have a successful solo career and now makes horror films. Bassist Sean Yseult and drummer John Tempesta went on to play in various other bands, and guitarist J. is now a producer.
