Verge Music Awards Nominees

Hey Rosetta! lead the list of finalists for XM Satellite Radio's inaugural The Verge Music Awards.

The St. John's, Nfld. band were nominated in both award categories: artist and album of the year.

The awards will be given out on Sept. 24 at Toronto's Tattoo Rock Parlour, and the winners in each category will receive $25,000. The event will feature performances by Broken Social Scene, The Stills and Sebastien Grainger & The Mountains and will be broadcast live on XM's The Verge (channel 52).

Verge listeners voted for their favourite artists and albums over the last few months in order to create the short list of nominees.
