Peter Bjorn And John's Seaside Rock

Peter Bjorn And John

As Peter Bjorn And John's Peter Moren wraps up his solo tour of England, the singer/multi-instrumentalist also waits with Bjorn Yttling and John Eriksson for the Sept. 23 release of the band's fourth album, Seaside Rock.

The vinyl- and download-only album will be issued in North America through Almost Gold/Star Time International. It will be limited to 5,000 vinyl LPs, each accompanied by a download code.

Seaside Rock was recorded in the spring of 2007 at the same Swedish studio where Abba recorded most of their material. The trio paid homage to the small seaside villages they came from by adding sounds to the album that reminded them of the "Swedish music school orchestras from hell" they played in as youngsters. The primarily instrumental album features monologues read by people from the hometowns of each member: a saxophone player from Norsjo, a grandfather from Vika and a hairdresser from Pitea.

Peter Bjorn And John previously released 2002's self-titled debut, 2005's Falling Out and 2006's breakthrough album, Writer's Block. They're working on their next vocal record, which will be out sometime next year.

Here are the songs on Seaside Rock:

"Inland Empire"
"Say Something (Mukiya)"
"Favour Of The Season"
"Next Stop Bjursele"
"School Of Kraut"
"Erik's Fishing Trip"
"Needles And Pills"
"Norrlands Riviera"
"Barcelona"
"At The Seaside"
