Hot off festival appearances at Vancouver's Stanley Park Singing Exhibition and the Victory Square Block Party this past weekend, Nardwuar The Human Serviette and his band The Evaporators will travel east for three shows in October.
You can catch The Evaporators in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. For the Ontario dates, Nardwuar will also show his "Video Vault," a collection of video interviews he's done over the years. You'll be able to see clips of the Chart correspondent talking with Snoop Doggy Dogg, former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev, Michael Moore, Marilyn Manson, Henry Rollins, Joan Jett, Blur, Vanilla Ice, Iggy Pop and many others.
Tickets to the all-ages Toronto show, which takes place at 4 p.m., are four bucks in advance and are available at Toronto record stores Soundscapes and Rotate This. If you're lazy, you can just get 'em for two dollars more at the door. You can get more info on the Trash Palace website.
And don't forget to join the ChartAttack-initiated movement to help make Nardwuar the host of the 2009 Juno Awards in Vancouver.
You can see The Evaporators here:
Oct. 3 Montreal, QC @ Bar St. Laurent 2 (Pop Montreal)
Oct. 4 Ottawa, ON @ Dominion Tavern (two shows, all ages and 19-plus) w/Garaga and The Felines
Oct. 5 Toronto, ON @ Trash Palace (all ages, 4pm show) w/The 3tards and The Weirdies
