Dandi Wind Lays Golden Egg

Vancouver's Dandi Wind is a multi-disciplined artist whose musical side will run free with the Sept. 23 Summer Lovers Unlimited release of Yolk Of The Golden Egg.

The follow-up to Concrete Igloo was recorded by vocalist Wind (real name Dandilion Wind Opaine) and musical partner Szam Findlay at Montreal's Le Fun Spot and Hit Factory in Verdun, Que. Photographer John Londono shot a short animated film to accompany the album that can be viewed on Wind's MySpace page. Four songs from Yolk Of The Golden Egg can also be heard on the site.

Wind recently toured Japan, Taiwan and China, where she shot a documentary of her experiences and music videos for three songs from Yolk Of The Golden Egg. She's also released three singles (none of which are on the new album) and a remix record titled Sacrificial this year.

Wind is also a video artist, sculptor and costume designer.
