The Acorn have plenty to be excited about these days, as the Ottawa band will soon release a live and rarities album titled Heron Act and tour both Europe and North America.
Paper Bag Records will issue Heron Act, a collection of blog/radio session recordings, demos and rare live recordings from their last Canadian and U.S. tours. The 10-track album arrives on Sept. 30 on CD and as a digital download.
The Acorn will play eight shows in France and England in early September in support of Glory Hope Mountain, which will be released in Europe, Australia and Japan on Oct. 20 through Bella Union. The album was released in North America in 2007 through Paper Bag.
After The Acorn return from Europe, they'll tour North America with Ohbijou. Here are the Canadian dates:
