Bloc Party singer/guitarist Kele Okereke said last month that the band were working on their third LP and he had no idea when it would be released, but all of a sudden you can now hear it on Thursday.

Intimacy is available for pre-order on Bloc Party's website. Those who purchase it will receive a digital version of it on Thursday. The CD, which will include some different tracks from the digital version, will be shipped on Oct. 28. You can preview lead single "Mercury" and "Trojan Horse" on Bloc Party's MySpace page.

Intimacy was produced by Paul Epworth (The Futureheads, Kate Nash) and Jacknife Lee (U2, R.E.M.). Epworth oversaw Bloc Party's Silent Alarm debut, while Lee was at the controls for the more recent A Weekend In The City. Intimacy was mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, My Bloody Valentine). The album was recorded in Kent and London, England.
