Ryan Adams Vs. Courtney Love

Ryan Adams is a singer, songwriter and musician who often creates music at a prolific rate. But he's also a painter, about to become an author and, if Courtney Love is to be believed, is also a thief.
Adams has signed a deal with Brooklyn, N.Y. publisher Akashic Books, which will issue his first and still untitled book of prose sometime next year. A message on Adams' website says he's "currently working on his new album and forthcoming book of poetry" and that an art show of his paintings is being planned.
Now that we have that out of the way, let's get on to the more salacious stuff.
Love posted in a July 19 MySpace blog entry that's since been removed that Adams paid for his 2003 album, Rock N Roll, by charging $858,000 U.S. on one of Love's 29 American Express cards that she claims she didn't know existed. Love's rant states that her money paid for the "ENTIRE album and meals and drugs and Hotels and outboard gear and wasted fabullous guitars." Love calls Rock N Roll "one of the worst records i can think of in rock and roll history" and claims that the money was intended for her daughter Frances Bean Cobain's trust fund.
In case you're wondering how Adams got access to Love's credit cards, she admits she had "very safe sex with him (hes pretty dirty and man ive been around but im the virgin mary comparitevly)" while they "had a mild little flirtation." A clip of a hysterical voice mail left by Love for Adams was used on the album, and she's also adamant that he should "dtake my fucking voice off that piece of shit."
Love claims that she's going to go after Adams for the money unless he works out a repayment plan. "i will litiagate your thieving ass from here til eternity, your a thief," she wrote with her usual immaculate spelling and grammar.
Love takes another shot at Adams by writing, "most people reading this dont even know what record or even artist im referring to , as your just this cult americana wanna be dylan thing- i think you have value as an artist but as a human your beneath contempt." Her post concludes with "still shooting smack? hows that going for you?"
If you want to put a few dollars in Adams' pocket to help him pay Love back, you can see him open for Oasis at these Canadian shows:
Aug. 27 Vancouver, BC @ General Motors Place
Aug. 29 Edmonton, AB @ Rexall Place
Aug. 30 Calgary, AB @ Pengrowth Saddledome
Sept. 1 Winnipeg, MB @ MTS Centre
Sept. 4 Ottawa, ON @ Scotiabank Place
Sept. 5 Montreal, QC @ Bell Centre
