Since The Creepshow came together in 2005, the band's combination of horror movie-themed lyrics and country-tinged punk rock with a '50s rockabilly twist has lured audiences into their terrifying trap. Just as fans begin to thirst for more, The Creepshow will release their sophomore album, Run For Your Life, through Stomp Records on Aug. 26.
The album was produced by Steve Rizun (Protest The Hero, IllScarlett), who also worked on The Creepshow's 2006 Sell Your Soul debut. It ends with a live recording of a concert staple, the band's cover of the Ramones' "Pet Sematary."
The Burlington, Ont. hellbilly foursome include singer/guitarist Sarah "Sin" Blackwood, upright bassist Sean "Sick Boi" McNab, drummer Matt "Pomade" Gee and keyboardist Kristian "The Reverend McGinty" Rowles. Sin took over for her sister Jen "Hellcat" Blackwood last year after she became pregnant.
