Ra Ra Riotous Release

Ra Ra Riot

After exhaustive touring and a devastating loss with the drowning death of drummer/lyricist John Pike last June, Ra Ra Riot have recovered enough to release their first full-length album, The Rhumb Line, on Aug. 19 via Barsuk Records.

The Rhumb Line was produced by Ryan Hadlock (Blonde Redhead, Islands) in Woodinville, Wash. The disc includes several songs from Ra Ra Riot's 2007 self-titled EP and a cover of Kate Bush's "Suspended In Gaffa." "Ghost Under Rocks," "Each Year" and "St. Peter's Day Festival" can be previewed on Ra Ra Riot's MySpace page.

Ra Ra Riot formed in Syracuse, N.Y. in 2006. The band include guitarist Milo Bonacci, celloist/vocalist Alexandra Lawn, keyboardist/vocalist Wesley Miles, bassist Mathieu Santos and violinist Rebecca Zeller.

Ra Ra Riot will play these Canadian dates:

  • Sept. 3 Montreal, QC @ TBA
