The Verve Come Forth With New Album

The reformed Verve will return with their logically titled (if misspelled) fourth album, Forth, to coincide with a European tour this summer.
Forth will be released in North America on Aug. 19 on The Verve's own On Your Own imprint, which is run by the band's Big Life management company in association with Stolen Transmission Records. You can hear lead single "Love Is Noise" on the band's MySpace page.
The Verve split up after 10 years and three albums — 1993's A Storm In Heaven, 1995's A Northern Soul and their North American breakthrough, 1997's Urban Hymns — in 1999. Singer Richard Ashcroft, guitarist Nick McCabe, bassist Simon Jones and drummer Peter Salisbury reunited last year for a series of shows and have played more this year, including a handful of North American performances.
During The Verve's hiatus, Ashcroft released three solo albums that were well-received in the U.K. Jones formed a band called The Shining and played with Gorillaz. McCabe has done remixes and played with the likes of The Beta Band and John Martyn. Salisbury has performed with Ashcroft and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and has also opened a drum shop in Stockport, England.
Here are the songs on Forth:
"Sit And Wonder"
"Love Is Noise"
"Rather Be"
"Judas"
"Numbness"
"I See Houses"
"Noise Epic"
"Valium Skies"
"Columbo"
"Appalachian Springs"
