Low Level Flight Support Kids Help Phone

Low Level Flight are doing their part for Kids Help Phone by adding the organization's logo and phone number to the video for their new single, "Turnaround."
The Toronto band are also donating their portion of the proceeds from iTunes downloads of the clip to Kids Help Phone, Canada's only free, 24-hour, bilingual, anonymous phone and online counselling, referral and information service for children and youth.
"Turnaround," from the group's Urgency debut album, is the personal tale of lead singer Ryan Malcolm’s torment of watching his older sibling succumb to a life of drug abuse. The song — written by Malcolm, Rob Wells and Mike Fox — illustrates the pain that can be felt by helpless family members, and the influence it can have on a younger sibling when a teen turns to substance or alcohol abuse.
"Having dealt with these issues myself at a young age, it seemed natural to want to help an organization that focuses on this subject matter," says Malcolm. "Getting involved with Kids Help Phone is something that we as a band are really passionate about."
We're not sure if Mexicans are aware of Malcolm's past as the inaugural Canadian Idol, but Low Level Flight apparently have enough of a following there that they included Mexico on a recent tour that also hit Arizona and southern California. The group are talking to management companies and record labels in New York City and plan to tour Ireland in the fall.
