Fall Out Boy Drummer Goes Fuck City

Fall Out Boy's Andy Hurley

Back in the day, French Connection UK really pissed people off by pushing the envelope and subtly emblazoning "FCUK" on their shirts. Parents everywhere recoiled when taking their kids shopping. But now that Fall Out Boy drummer Andy Hurley has founded a clothing line called Fuck City, subtlety has altogether gone out the window.

No, this isn't a joke. You can buy Fuck City shirts and hoodies at fuckcityusa.com. Yes, they actually say "Fuck," and one T-shirt that reads "FCUS" seems to be poking fun at FCUK. T-shirts will cost you $16.99 U.S., while hoodies will run you $40.

Fuck City has a merch tent on this summer's Warped Tour, so Canadians can get Fuck-ed in these cities:

July 19 Mississauga, ON @ The Flats at Arrow Hall
July 20 Montreal, QC @ Parc Jean Drapeau
Aug. 5 Saskatoon, SK @ Credit Union Centre
Aug. 6 Calgary, AB @ Race City Speedway

Besides the obvious shock value, why "Fuck City"? Hurley apparently tattooed those words on his knuckles earlier this year. It was the name of a proposed singles housing development in an episode of the dearly departed television sitcom Arrested Development, and Hurley's tattoos apparently refer to a group of his hardcore friends and an area of Milwaukee where they live. Prior to joining Fall Out Boy, Hurley played with metalcore band Racetraitor.

An affiliated Fuck City record label is apparently in the planning stages. Other members of the Fuck City camp are former members of Seven Angels Seven Plagues and The Misery Signals. The latter band have a new album called Controller coming out on July 22 through Ferret Music. Here's the track list:

"Nothing"
"Weight Of The World"
"Labyrinthian"
"Parallels"
"Coma"
"A Certain Death"
"Set In Motion"
"Ebb And Flow"
"Reset"
"Homecoming"
