Metric Set For Wakestock 2008

If several days filled with boarding of the wake and skate kinds combined with loud music in the sun is enough to make you want to say "Bro," you'll probably want to check out this year's Wakestock festival.
Wakestock 2008's eclectic music lineup features Metric, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Silverstein, GZA and RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan and others. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
Wakestock 2008 takes place on Toronto's Centre Island from July 24 to 27, but there's only music on the last three days. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Four-day early bird passes are available until June 22 and will run you $49.50. Thereafter, festival passes will cost $62.50. Day passes are also available. You can get more information on the festival website.
Wakestock's main event is the four-day World Series Wakeboarding, the world's largest wakeboarding contest. The festival grounds will also include a motorcross track and a skate park for those who are partial to half-pipes.
