Coldplay Axe And Shuffle Dates

There's a song on Coldplay's new Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends album called "Lost!" that describes what's happened to the money shelled out by those who paid to see four of the British band's upcoming Canadian shows.
"Production delays" have forced Coldplay to cancel their scheduled tour dates in Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg, along with one of their Toronto shows. They've also had to reschedule two Canadian stops. If you show up at Edmonton's Rexall Place on July 29, Calgary's Pengrowth Saddledome the next night or Winnipeg's MTS Centre the evening after that, you might be surprised to discover Coldplay aren't playing there anymore. If you want to recover your lost dough, you can get a refund at the point of purchase.
Coldplay were scheduled to perform at Toronto's Air Canada Centre on Oct. 29 and 30. Both those dates have been scrapped and replaced by a single performance on July 30. The Montreal show originally scheduled for Oct. 20 has been bumped up to July 29. Coldplay's Oct. 21 Ottawa concert has also been moved ahead a day. Tickets for the new dates go on sale on Saturday. All tickets for the previously announced dates will be honoured at the rescheduled shows.
"We're very sorry, but we promise you a show worthy of your patience and understanding when we start in mid-July," Coldplay said in a statement issued by EMI.
Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends hits stores on June 17. If you're their MySpace friend, you may have already heard it, since the band have been streaming it on their MySpace page since Friday.
Here's Coldplay's updated Canadian tour itinerary:
July 27 Pemberton, BC @ Pemberton FestivalJuly 29 Montreal, QC @ Bell Centre
July 30 Toronto, ON @ Air Canada Centre
