Start Making North By Northeast Schedule

The North By Northeast Music Festival has released the schedule for the June 12 to 14 event that will feature performances at 40 Toronto venues (many of them licensed to serve booze until 4 a.m.) as well as in parks, record stores and even Pearson Airport.

About 500 performers from across Canada and more than 20 countries will descend on Toronto for the 14th annual event, including Sloan, Ted Leo And The Pharmacists, Swervedriver, Evan Dando, Money Mark, Bedouin Soundclash, Moneen, Julie Doiron, Redd Kross, Magneta Lane, Slim Twig, The Besnard Lakes, Ladyhawk, The High Dials, Small Sins, The Trews, Two Hours Traffic, New Odds, The Real McKenzies and The Tom Fun Orchestra.

NXNE 2008 will also include a music conference with a number of prominent speakers and a film festival featuring such music-related movies as Agile, Mobile, Hostile: A Year With Andre Williams, Blondie: One Way Or Another, The Last Pogo and The Monks: The Transatlantic Feedback.

Tickets to individual shows will be available, but you can also pick up a $19 one-day wristband, a $29 three-day wristband, a $149 NXNE priority pass or a $249 NXNE VIP super pass. More details about the entire event can be found at the North By Northeast website.
