Music Waste Festival Takes Over Vancouver Again

New Music West 2008 was held last week in Vancouver, which means it's Music Waste Festival time again. Vancouverites will be able to see more than 60 acts for cheap prices when the 14th annual Music Waste Festival takes over six venues from June 4 to 8.
It'll cost you five bucks to get into each show, or you can buy a full festival pass for $15 at many Vancouver record stores. More information is available on the Music Waste website.
The first Music Waste festival was held in 1994 as a single-day event to protest the more corporate New Music West festival's entry fees. It's now one of Vancouver's most important annual festivals, since it highlights up-and-coming artists.
