It’s taken four years for Alanis Morissette’s Flavors Of Entanglement to finally make it to fans. But, like all her best work, it was a cathartic process.

"I often write in retrospect, but this was written in real time," says Morissette. "This record helped me through some fragile moments. Every song was like a life raft."

The 11-track Flavors Of Entanglement will arrive via Maverick/Reprise on June 10. It was co-written and produced by former Frou Frou member Guy Sigsworth (Bjork, Imogen Heap).

Morissette previewed some of the new album’s songs, including first single “Underneath,” during her recent North American tour with Matchbox Twenty. She’ll play across Europe through most of June, July and August before returning home for more North American dates later this year.

Morissette’s albums have sold in excess of 40 million copies around the world, including more than three million in Canada, since her 1991 Alanis debut. She was inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall Of Fame in March.

Here are the songs on Flavors Of Entanglement:

”Citizen Of The Planet”
”Underneath”
”Straitjacket”
”Versions Of Violence”
”Not As We”
”In Praise Of The Vulnerable Man”
”Moratorium”
”Torch”
”Giggling Again For No Reason”
”Tapes”
”Incomplete”
