The Faint Are Fasciinated By Doing Things On Their Own

Omaha, Neb. Dance-rock band The Faint have left Bright Eyes’ Saddle Creek label and will release their fifth studio album, Fasciinatiion, on their own Blank.wav imprint on Aug. 5.
Since the quintet wrote, recorded, produced and oversaw the artwork, releasing it themselves was obviously the next logical step. Todd Fink (vocals), Joel Petersen (bass, guitar), Clark Baechle (drums), Jacob Thiele (synthesizers) and Dapose (guitar, bass) started creating the follow-up to 2004’s Wet From Birth in their Enamel recording and art studio following their 2005 world tour opening for and backing Bright Eyes.
The Faint will tour North America in support of Fasciinatiion and play Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom on Aug. 1 and Toronto’s Opera House on Aug. 21.
Here are the songs on Fasciinatiion:
"Get Seduced""The Geeks Were Right"
"Machine In The Ghost"
"Fulcrum And Lever" "Psycho"
"Mirror Error"
"I Treat You Wrong"
"Forever Growing Centipedes"
"Fish In A Womb"
"A Battle Hymn For Children"
