The Violet Archers have enough Canadian indie music star power to make Sunshine At Night, which happens to be the title of their sophomore album.

The Toronto-based pop-rock group are led by former Rheostatics singer and multi-instrumentalist Tim Vesely. He's joined on Sunshine At Night by vocalist/pianist Ida Nilsen (Great Aunt Ida, Buttless Chaps), drummer Camille Giroux (Sarah Harmer), bassist Scott Remila (Raising The Fawn) and guitarist Yawd Sylvester (Wayne Omaha).

Sunshine At Night was recorded at Blue Rodeo's Woodshed and Veseley's home studio. The title track first single can be downloaded from The Violet Archers' website. The follow-up to 2005's The End Of Part One will be released by Zunior on May 6.

The Violet Archers will perform at Toronto's Cameron House on June 20.

"You And I"
