The Johnstones Sell Sex In EP Form

Ajax, Ont. ska-punk band The Johnstones will release a new EP, the oh-so-subtly-titled Sex, on May 27 through Stomp Records.
The six-track EP was produced by Flashlight Brown bassist Fil Bucchino. The tracks were originally recorded as demos in a basement with a drum machine before vocalist/drummer Ryan Long had throat surgery. The band later decided to turn the demos into an EP and… Sex resulted.
Long, Brent Marks (bass), Jarek Hardy (guitar, vocals), Julian Warme (trombone, organ) and Rene Gillezeau (trumpet, vocals) began playing together as The Johnstones when they were still teenagers in 2002. They released their Word Is Bond debut in 2006 and gained MuchMusic exposure through their video for "Gone For A Long Time."
