Surprise! Weezer's Latest Self-Titled Album Due On June 24

Weezer will release their sixth album, titled — you don't really even need to guess — Weezer, on June 24 via Geffen Records.
The disc, which features a red cover, is the band's third self-titled effort and is being dubbed "The Red Album." Weezer's two previous self-titled releases came out in 1994 and 2001 and featured blue and green covers respectively. The new album was co-produced by Weezer, Rick Rubin (Beastie Boys, Linkin Park) and Jacknife Lee (Bloc Party, U2). Rich Costey (The Mars Volta, Rage Against The Machine) mixed it. All of the group members contributed songs to the album and trade vocal duties on it. It will also be available in a deluxe edition with four extra tracks that will be available on a CD with special packaging and through iTunes.
Lead single "Pork And Beans" will be available for download on April 24. You can hear the track on Weezer's website.
Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo released a compilation of solo home demos titled Alone: The Home Recordings Of Rivers Cuomo in December.
