Hamilton punk rock veterans Teenage Head have scheduled a number of shows in support of Sonic Unyon's April 22 release of Teenage Head With Marky Ramone.
The former Ramones drummer (born Marc Steven Bell) won't accompany the group on their adventures, however. Jack Pedler will keep the beat behind singer Frankie Venom, guitarist Gord Lewis and bassist Steve Marshall. The album was recorded five years ago at Hamilton's Catherine North and Mississauga, Ont.'s Metalworks studios with frequent Ramones producer Daniel Rey. Songs from it can be previewed on Teenage Head's MySpace page.
Teenage Head have sold more than 200,000 albums in Canada over the past 30 years. This is their first release since 2006's reissue of their 1979 self-titled debut.
