Slipknot, Disturbed And Others To Bring Mayhem To Toronto

Metalheads should start working on their neck muscles so they'll be in good condition by the time the headbanging Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival comes to Toronto's Downsview Park on Aug. 8.
Slipknot will headline the tour's only Canadian date, which will also feature appearances by fellow nu-metallers Disturbed, Machine Head and 36 Crazyfists. Mastodon will represent the prog metal side of things, while Airbourne will deliver some '70s-inspired hard rock. You can get your hardcore and metalcore fix from Walls Of Jericho, Five Finger Death Punch, Black Tide, Suicide Silence and The Red Chord. Underoath are on the bill for screamo fans, and DragonForce will show off their fretboard prowess through their brand of "extreme power metal." Sevendust were originally on the bill, but pulled out due to a scheduling conflict.
Tickets go on sale on April 19 at 11 a.m. and will set you back $49.50 plus those pesky service charges. They're available online from Ticketmaster and LiveNation and from real people at Toronto stores Rotate This and Sonic Temple.
