Saturdays = Youth For M83

French electronica musician M83 (real name Anthony Gonzalez) will release his fifth album, Saturdays = Youth, on April 15 through Mute Records.
The 11-track follow-up to last year's ambient Digital Shades Vol. 1 was produced by Ken Thomas (Cocteau Twins, Sigur Ros) and Ewan Pearson (Ladytron, The Rapture). The nine-minute "Couleurs" is the first single.
Gonzalez formed M83 with Nicolas Fromageau in Antibes, France in 2001. The duo released two albums — their 2001 self-titled debut and 2003's Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts — before Gonzalez split from Fromageau to record as M83 on his own. He has released two more albums since then.
Gonzalez just released a split seven-inch single in the U.K. with British electronica musician Maps. M83 remixed Maps' "To The Sky," while Maps took on M83's "We Own The Sky," which will appear on Saturdays = Youth.
