Tokyo Police Club Crank Out More Tour Dates

Tokyo Police Club

With the clock ticking down the hours until Tokyo Police Club's long-awaited Elephant Shell full-length debut hits stores, the Toronto indie rock darlings have announced several new tour dates in support of its release.

Dave Monks (vocals, bass), Josh Hook (guitar), Graham Wright (keyboards) and Greg Alsop (drums) are currently south of the border promoting Elephant Shell's April 22 release through their Universal-affiliated Mean Beard imprint in Canada and Saddle Creek in the U.S.

The band have just released a video for "Tessellate" and announced that "Juno" will be Elephant Shell's second single. You can hear both singles on the band's MySpace page. Elephant Shell is the follow-up to 2006's A Lesson In Crime and last year's Smith EPs, which helped turn Tokyo Police Club into the latest indie buzz band. A Lesson In Crime has sold more than 30,000 copies and the group played sets at the Coachella, Bumbershoot, Glastonbury and Reading festivals last year.

Tokyo Police Club will play these Canadian dates:

April 18 Ottawa, ON @ Barrymore's Music Hall
April 19 Montreal, QC @ Cabaret Du Musee Juste Pour Rire
