Chad Kroeger Found Guilty Of Drunk Driving

The past month hasn't been kind to Chad Kroeger.
After the Nickelback main man's lawyer lost an argument to exclude certain evidence in his impaired driving trial, and he made the embarrassing admission that he sucked his own penis in exchange for a case of beer when he was 14, Kroeger (real name Chad Turton) was convicted of drunk driving in a British Columbia court on Tuesday.
Kroeger was initially pulled over by police for speeding in his $175,000 Lamborghini in suburban Surrey, B.C. around 2 a.m. on June 22, 2006. An officer noted that the singer, guitarist, songwriter, producer and record label executive had red, glossy eyes and a red, flushed face, and that he allegedly pulled out a credit card when asked for his driver's licence. Although he didn't provide his first breath sample at the Surrey RCMP detachment until almost two hours after being stopped, tests still showed him to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.14, nearly twice the legal limit.
Kroeger will be sentenced on May 1 and faces a fine and a temporary driving ban. Paying a fine or a driver shouldn't put him in the poor house, but he can always look back to his youth if he needs to find a way that people might be willing to give him some quick cash.
