Kate Maki, Nathan Lawr, Cindy Doire And Ryan Bishops Announce Joint Tour

How many Northern Ontario singer/songwriters does it take to make a tour? Four, it appears, as Kate Maki, Nathan Lawr, Cindy Doire and Ryan Bishops have announced a Canada-wide journey that starts in May.
Each musician is supporting their latest album, but all four have collaborated with one another — or have come close to — before now. On the tour, they'll both play solo sets and be part of the back-up bands as they cover a wide array of genres, including roots, rock, folk, country, jazz, pop and blues.
Maki, Lawr and Bishops were in The Yetties in 2005, when they went on two Bob Dylan-inspired tours called A Midwinter Night's Dream and A Midautumn Night's Dream.
Sudbury's Maki released her third album, On High, in February. Lawr, also known for his work with The Fembots, Cuff The Duke and Royal City, released A Sea Of Tiny Lights with his band The Minotaurs in October. Doire, now based in Toronto, released her debut album of jazz and folk titled La Vie En Bleu in November. She's a close collaborator with Bishops, who was also in the alternative country band Ox. He released Bandit & The Rebel Rhythm Quartet in March.
