Death Cab For Cutie, Stars, Rogue Wave And Young Galaxy Play Toronto's Olympic Island

Death Cab For Cutie will headline a mini outdoor music festival on Toronto's Olympic Island on June 7.
The Bellingham, Wash. quartet will be joined on the bill by Stars, Rogue Wave and Young Galaxy. ATG Concerts, RMS Concerts and Toronto radio station 102.1 The Edge will present the event and will issue further information about it in the coming weeks.
Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster at noon on Thursday, while they'll be available at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern, Rotate This and Soundscapes the next day. They'll set you back $49.50 plus service charges, and six bucks for the ferry to get you to the island and back.
Death Cab's Narrow Stairs, the follow-up to 2005's Plans, will be released by Atlantic on May 13. Lead single "I Will Possess Your Heart" is already available. Guitarist Chris Walla's Field Manual solo effort came out through Barsuk in January. Death Cab will also perform with Rogue Wave at Montreal's Jacques Cartier Pier on June 6, with tickets becoming available on Friday.
Stars are still supporting last year's In Our Bedroom After The War LP and will play Ottawa's Bronson Centre on Thursday, Stages in Kingston, Ont. on Friday, and tape a concert for a television show called Beautiful Noise at Toronto's Berkeley Church on Saturday.
Montreal-based Young Galaxy's self-titled debut was released last April by Arts & Crafts.
