Toronto Festival Takes Things Over The Top Again This Spring

The Over The Top Festival will return to Toronto for its seventh year this spring.
This year's all-ages festival will run from April 30 to May 4. It will feature a solo appearance from Of Montreal's Kevin Barnes and a show from former Inbreds main man Mike O'Neil's new band, The Beginners. Other acts slated to appear include Simply Saucer, Woodhands, The D'Urbervilles, Oh No Forest Fires, Ten Kens, festival returnees DD/MM/YY and Will Currie And The Country French.
A variety of films will also be screened at the festival, including I Think We're Alone Now, an amusing documentary about two Tiffany "stalkers," and It Is Fine: EVERYTHING IS FINE!, the second installment in actor Crispin Glover's It trilogy. Several music-related films will also be screened, including a film of a ballet performance of Deerhoof's Milk Man album and a documentary about Silver Jews frontman David Berman.
Those interested in attending various festival events can purchase tickets online at ticketscene.ca. If you'd prefer to order them in person, you can do so beginning on Thursday at Rotate This and Soundscapes.
