Leonard Cohen Will Tour For First Time In 15 Years

Leonard Cohen

After his induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen announced he will be heading back out on the road — his first time touring in 15 years.

The world tour kicks off in Toronto on June 6 and 7, which his website states is "the city that gave birth to his career as a recording and literary artist." The Montreal native will also play three shows at the Montreal Jazz Festival in June, along with several dates in Europe, including Glastonbury and the Big Chill in the U.K., and the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.

Cohen was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on March 10 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York along with Madonna, John Mellencamp, The Ventures and The Dave Clark Five.

At 73 years young, the singer-songwriter, poet and novelist is one of the oldest rockers to still be touring. He makes The Rolling Stones, with band members averaging 65 years old, look like teenagers.
