Forget Your Marriage, Martha Wainwright Wants You To Consider Her Feelings

Martha Wainwright will drop her second album, the amusingly titled I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too, on June 10 through Zoe/Rounder Records.

Although Wainwright is no stranger to interesting song names — one track on her self-titled debut was titled "Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole" — it appears she's now decided to take her album titles to the next level. I Know You're Married… features guest appearances from The Band organist Garth Hudson, Steely Dan's Donald Fagen and The Who's Pete Townshend. Martha's brother Rufus Wainwright and mother and aunt Kate and Anna McGarrigle also contributed. Covers of Pink Floyd's "See Emily Play" and the Eurythmics' "Love Is A Stranger" are included among the disc's 14 tracks.

Wainwright was born in 1976 to Kate McGarrigle and folk-rocker Loudon Wainwright III. She's fresh off an appearance with Rufus, the McGarrigles and her cousins Lily and Sylvan Lanken at the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame's fifth annual gala on Saturday night. They performed Anna McGarrigle's "Heart Like A Wheel," which she originally recorded with Kate. Linda Ronstadt later covered the track on her 1974 album of the same name.

Although Martha appeared on her father's 2003 live album, So Damn Happy, their relationship has been described as strained. According to the U.K.'s Guardian newspaper, she's told audiences that "Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole" is about Wainwright III. She's said that he spent more time writing songs about his family than actually spending time with it.

Wainwright will perform at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas on March 12 and 13 and has just confirmed a May appearance in the U.K.
