ChartAttack Has An MP3 And Tour Diary From Hot Springs

Hot Springs have been wowing Canadian scenesters and music lovers since they erupted onto the scene in 2004. Now they've brought their brand of infectious indie rock to ChartAttack, and have provided us with a free MP3 and tour diary.

Hot Springs are in the midst of a six-week cross-Canada tour. To celebrate, they've let us host a free MP3 of "Headrush," the first single from their debut full-length, Volcano. You can download the song while you're reading the group's Witchin' Winter Tour Diary.

Hot Springs' first diary entry features ruminations on the Maritimes, contrasting the beauty of the eastern provinces' landscapes and their residents' fashion sense with Quebec's "death trap staircases," which the band say are suitable for horror films. The group will post more entries throughout their tour, which runs through March 25 in Thunder Bay, Ont. They'll take a brief break from touring snowy Canada to play the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas from March 12 to 14.

Hot Springs self-released their Rock Partouze (French for "Rock Orgy") EP in 2005, and quickly began to attract attention for their wild live performances. The band showcased at the North By Northeast, Pop Montreal and M For Montreal festivals last year.
